“To celebrate outstanding achievement in high school musical theater and cultivate the next generation of artists.”

How It Works

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many of our participating schools have not had the opportunity to perform their musicals. In the interest of our students and community, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Stephen Sondheim Awards.

Instead, we have committed to presenting a virtual celebration of all the incredible achievements of the many involved students. The livestream will feature a virtual opening number, footage & photos from productions and rehearsals, Best Actor and Best Actress medleys, scholarships and more!

Our goal is to make this evening a celebration for the students and their achievements.

Celebrating the dedication and passion of so many students across Connecticut and Rhode Island.
