The following paper work is required:



  • Letter of recommendation from teacher/professor.

  • Personal student essay explaining why you are an ideal recipient for a BMA scholarship.

  • Parent Financials explaining current financial situation.

  • A copy of your family's most recent federal tax return (Note: we cannot complete your application without this piece of information).

Performance Criteria



  • An electronic copy of your headshot + resume.

  • 16-32 bar vocal audition video. (If you auditioned live already this season, please upload a selfie video slating your name and audition location.)

  • If your passion and dedication to the art form exceeds others.

  • Please note, we CANNOT offer any scholarships without the completion of all of the above items. No exception will be made. After applying, the scholarship committee will then review your application and you will receive a response with an award decision.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED


Student Essay


Include a brief essay ( maximum of 300 words) written by the applicant answering the question “What does attending BMA mean to you?” in which the applicant describes their motivation for attending a Performing Arts Intensive, what he/she hopes to gain, his/his professional aspirations in the arts, and his/her ability levels in voice, acting, and/or dance.




Parent or Guardian Financials


Include a brief essay (maximum of 250 words) written by a parent or guardian of the applicant describing the family’s financial circumstances. Please describe any matters of financial hardship that may not be apparent from examining the federal tax returns of the applicant’s parents or guardians.




Video Audition


Your video should feature a 16-32 bar vocal audition. If you auditioned live already this season, please upload a selfie video slating your name, audition location and express what BMA means to you. Actors or dancers may upload footage of a monologue or dance no longer than 1 min. You can paste the YouTube link for your video audition in the form below.
