NEWSIES
This show-stopping production, directed by Chaz Wolcott (first national tour of Newsies) featured 40 talented BMA students and 4 Broadway professionals.
THE LITTLE MERMAID
The Little Mermaid was directed by Bret Shuford from the original Broadway company and starred Broadway and Disney legends, Steve Blanchard and Meredith Inglesby.
ANNIE
Starring a host of Broadway actors and featuring a 14 piece live orchestra, ‘Annie’ sold to massive crowds and cemented the partnership with Westport Country Playhouse.
SONDHEIM AWARDS
The first annual Stephen Sondheim Awards was held at the Shubert Theatre of New Haven and celebrated excellence in high school musical theater.
EVITA
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musical about the rise and fall of historical figure Eva Peron was the first musical under the new partnership between Broadway Method Academy and Westport Country Playhouse. This production featured Broadway performers in the principle roles, while BMA students filled the ensemble.
LEGALLY BLONDE
Legally Blonde tells the story of Elle Woods and her adventure at Harvard Law School where she finds that staying true to yourself never goes out of fashion. This production was directed and choreographed by Broadway artist Julius Anthony Rubio.
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
Little Shop of Horrors is a horror comedy rock musical, by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman, about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh.
THE MUSIC MAN
Meredith Wilson’s classic american musical, The Music Man, played the Quick Center for the Arts, with direction by Julie Kavanagh and Connor Deane and music direction by J. Scott Handley and Jacob Yates.
GREASE
The American family classic hit, Grease played Fairfield University’s Quick Center to sold out audiences. With direction by Connor Deane, choreography by Katie Johannigman and music direction by J. Scott Handley.
BROADWAY SINGS: A BENEFIT CONCERT
Over 20 Broadway artists performed with some of BMA’s talented young artists for a one-night only benefit concert, in efforts of finding a forever home for BMA.
SPRING AWAKENING
BMA proudly presented the provocative hit musical, Spring Awakening with direction by Broadway artist, Noah J. Ricketts.
RODGER’S AND HAMMERSTEIN’S CAROUSEL
This classic American musical was presented in concert form to a sold out audience with direction by Connor Deane, choreography by Katie Johannigman and music direction by J. Scott Handley.
HAIR
This rock musical was brought to life by the resident production team of BMA in the Summer of 2014, kicking off Broadway Method Academy’s mainstage productions.
